Saw an article today that the league wants thigh and knee pads mandatory for the 2013 season. Saw in the same article that the NFLPA says the move should be negotiated and there was a very long paragraph about collective bargaining, etc. Okay, saw on the same page of the paper an article that Eric Dickerson has joined the lawsuit about concussions and the league not doing enough, etc. Here is my question--How can the NFLPA say they support one area of safety (concussions) while opposing it in another? Oh yeah, because concussions bring news and lawsuits and money, and all those knee and leg injuries don't. Please tell me that I am being unnecessarily cynical.

Personally, the fourth movement to Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 is the ultimate.

Or Louis Armstrong doing "What a Wonderful World" followed by "Georgia on my Mind" by Ray Charles. See how hard, and how much fun, this can be.

HG, "Immigrant Song" is allowed. Although I still think "Out on the Tiles" is just as good.

The last two years haven't been the easiest for me and my wife, what with the cancer and then extended unemployment. But, today, I got the call for a job which starts Wednesday!! Working as a counselor in an out-patient drug treatment center. One benefit is no weekends or on-call and I have regular hours. Have to make arrangements for individual study or whatever for my world lit. and writing class but both instructors are full on board and no problems there. Woo hoo!! Life, which is pretty good anyway, just got a lot better! Beers all around!
