Royals come to terms with first round pick Bubba Starling, the fifth overall pick in the 2011 Draft.

Sign and Trade For Osi umenyiora?

02 August 2011 - 09:45 PM

Word is that the Giants was a 1st round for Osi. I think that is too high. Although, I would give a 2nd round pick for him. Could you imagine Tamba and Osi going after the QB? We have plenty of $$ and he is worth it. Would he be a good fit for our Defense?

Rumor Report!!! Chiefs offer TE Zach Miller Contract

01 August 2011 - 07:37 AM

The Brother of Zach Miller reported to Chiefsplanet that:

Chiefs GM Scott Pioli spent most of the afternoon on the phone with the agent for former Arizona State Tight End Zach Miller. Talks focused on a 4-5 year contract. No numbers were revealed.

If this is true, that would be awesome. I love Moeaki but signing Zach away from the Raiders would be HUGE!

What do you guys think?

Breaston coming to Kansas City

27 July 2011 - 01:08 PM

The latest from NFL Network's Jason La Canfora should make a few Kansas City Chiefs fans happy.
In his own words:

Hearing that Steve Breaston and Todd Haley could end up having a reunion in KC.
Whoa. This would be a good signing, as we've discussed a number of times. The Chiefs could be looking for a third receiver and Chiefs head coach Todd Haley already know a little bit about Breaston from their time together with the Arizona Cardinals.
Breaston reportedly had a number of teams interested in him, including the Cardinals, so this is far from a done deal but apparently it's on the Chiefs radar.
Any deal the Chiefs strike with him would be a verbal commit only, sort of like college recruiting. These guys can't officially sign until Friday night at 5:00 p.m. (Arrowhead time).

I think I already know the answer to this but what do ya'll think of Breaston in KC?

DE Jason Babin says Chiefs....

27 July 2011 - 01:05 PM

...are showing interest in him.

Free agent DE Jason Babin was signed to the Kansas City Chiefs for just a couple of months at the tail end of the 2008 season before the new regime allowed him to become a free agent. Ultimately, he left for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009 and following that went to the Tennessee Titans where he made the Pro Bowl last season.
Guess what?
The Chiefs may want him back. This according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, who spoke with Babin. He says the Eaglas, Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills are interested, as are the Chiefs.
He's previously said he's looking for a three or four year deal so we'll see if the Chiefs are willing to pony up that kinda cash. He's not looking for "Julius Peppers money", he told Wyatt, but coming off of a Pro Bowl year he can probably get a sizable chunk of money.
