Didn't get to watch many Chiefs games this year but it sounds like the Defense excelled quite nice in the end. How did Dorsey and Jackson do overall? Who did better in your opinion and is one worth trading at all? Just curious to know where most of you stand with these 2.

Good to great run stuffers, foolish to trade them. I would say they are about even but wouldn't be surprised to see TJax' arrow to trend upward faster than Dorsey's at this point, believe it or not. Both guys are valuable parts to the D.

I think they would both be even better once there is a consistant NT between them.

I think both are seriously underperforming considering where they were drafted. They should be much more disruptive on gamedays than they are IMO, and I think most Chiefs fans are Dorsey/Jackson apologists.

Has anyone here honestly ever watched a game and thought;

"Wow, the Chiefs couldn't have done it without that peformance by Dorsey/Jackson"

Do you hold them in the same regard as say.... Hali, Flowers, Carr, Berry, or DJ?
(If you do, congratulations....you're delusional :jester:)

When a team drafts a DL that high they expect results from them. And neither is even among the top 5 guys on the Defense!

Still can't believe some are expecting 4-3 stats out of 3-4 DEs. You are just not going to see a lot of sacks from 3-4 DEs. Dorsey and Jackson are good 3-4 ends.

I don't think anyone would have an issue with Dorsey or Jackson if it weren't for the fact that they were drafted so high. You generally expect big numbers from your high picks, but that isn't what Romeo is asking of them. They won't get sacks, that is Hali and Houston's job.

I don't think anyone expected Tyson Jackson to perform to the level of his draft status, and the same can be said for Dorsey once the switch to the 34 was made.

5 tech just doesn't match positional value of a top 5 pick.

They are what they are.

Dorsey is one of the top 5 run defenders in the league at his position, and Jackson was top 15 this past season.

As a pair, they were rated among the top 3.

Neither are ever going to be big time pass rushers, but for what is expected from them, they do it as well as can be expected.

Both guys are among the best run stoppers at their position. That's a fact buddy.

I wish they were more disruptive against the pass, but if you don't think they're doing their primary job as 2 gap 5 tech DE's, you're just wrong.

They don't play 'impact' positions. There aren't exactly a lot of star 3-4 DE's. The only one I can think of was BigSey in NE. The positions they play will never allow them to live up to their draft standing. That's the team's fault, not the players.

I'm gonna call foul on this one. Justin Smith and Ray MacDonald in SF and Calais Campbell and Darnell Dockett in Arizona. They're running radically different systems though.
