The Oakland Raiders have fired head coach Hue Jackson, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

ESPN and SI both have the story, but it is as of yet unconfirmed.

Who wants to bet the new GM tried talking to him and Hugh pulled his dick out and started waving it round yelling "You see who's in charge here?"

I heard Nick Wright on 610am say a little while ago that the Chiefs would be stupid not to hire Hue as OC. I think that's pretty stupid Nick. Why would you hire anyone that is that nuts to be anything on your team.

I wouldn't put it past Hue to be be one of those behind the scenes troublemakers, a little Napoleon rising from the Elba of the OC booth, and trying to reconquer the football world. In that situation, Romeo would have to be our Duke of Wellington at Waterloo to stop him and save the world from more Hue. We, and France, don't need that responsibility on our hands.

It's funny because I don't like Hue Jackson, but this pretty much had to happen. Jackson made it clear he was going to undermine whoever was brought in as GM, and McKenzie is a good exec who wasn't going to put up with this shit.

Marge: I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good.
Homer: Yeah, yeah.
Marge: Well, explain to me why it isn't.
Homer: [sighs] You just don't understand football, Marge.

I'd almost compare Hue more to Rasputin, but I don't know who Romeo would be in that metaphor. The Prince that helped assassinate him?

I'd rather just not hire Hue. I tend to like the idea of picking up the Eddie Kennison's of the world, guys that clearly have a revenge motive against our rivals, but not Hue. He's a douche, not to mention he has a child-like perception when it comes to realizing what he can get away with.

Yet another reason I wish San Diego had lost.... If he made the playoffs, he would have received a stay of execution through at least November. There's enough talent on the Raiders' roster for someone who knows what they're doing to actually do something with. Which is why I really, really liked Hue Jackson there.

C'mon... no it's not. That can't possibly be a real human being, let alone one with money.

I mean, can it?
