Report: Haley close to rejoining Cardinals
On Friday, there was word that Todd Haley was expected to speak with the Cardinals about a return to their coaching staff.
The conversation must have gone well because now there’s a report that he’s on the verge of a second go-round in the desert. Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports that Haley is close to officially rejoining the Cardinals and that a contract might be done within the week. Haley was the offensive coordinator for Arizona in 2007 and 2008 before getting hired as the Chiefs’ head coach.
If Haley returns, the Cardinals will have to shuffle their staff a bit to accommodate his arrival. Mike Miller was the offensive coordinator in 2011, but could move back to his role as a passing game assistant. He held that role under Haley so it could work out without ruffling too many feathers or Miller could depart to find a job somewhere else.
While the Cardinals offense hasn’t been as successful since Haley left, it is worth noting that they were fine for a year without him. It was Kurt Warner’s departure that signaled a major drop in production for Arizona and Haley will have to do a lot of work with the current quarterbacks to get things close to the 2008 level upon his expected return to the fold.

Ding, ding, ding, get ready to rumble in the desert Card WR's. Wonder if one of the questions that was asked in the interview was 'did you tank the Chiefs season out of spite?'.
Probably the only team that would have him.
Haley set to rejoin the Cardinals.

My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.
