Hate to say it, but I thought he looked pretty decent as a passer yesterday, better than he had anyway. Granted, the Pats D isn't very good, especially against the pass. It's the same reason I think we all need to curb our expectations on Kyle Orton. Green Bay's pass D was their Achilles heel. They give up 289.4 ypg through the air on average.

Yeah.

At the same time the main reason they allow so many yards is because opponents are trailing in the 2nd half. They're not good, but probably not quite as bad as the numbers indicate.

In terms of YPA and the QB rating against them, they're about on par with our passing D.

Which one: GB the Pats or both?

Regardless, our numbers are also skewed by our own blowout losses, but your point is noted and valid.

Apologies, I was talking about Green Bay.

I think our secondary is better than Green Bay's, but statistically they're very similar. I didn't look at total yards (obv GB has allowed over 1000 more passing yards) but completion percentage, average yards per attempt, and QB rating against.

I think our rating is skewed indeed because our defense in general spends way too much time on the field and is almost always playing form behind. Teams run balanced attacks at us.

By the 2nd half against Green Bay most teams are forced to start throwing all the time because they're down by 17 points.

Just don't think I'm switching teams, but I'm going to really be hoping for a Chiefs victory this next game. That is, as long as my Broncos can get their shit together and beat the Bills.

I really think both of our teams will have the same problem. It'll be hard to focus after having a big game last week.

But com'on, wouldn't you love it if the last game of the regular season between the Chiefs and Broncos decided the season?

I know my Broncos will come back against the Bills. But, come on, you guys cannot lost against the Raiduhs. We practically gave you the key to win that game (Orton).
(OK, maybe not but it's nice to look at it that way at this point.)

i think at this point I would just love to nail the division this weekend and not have to worry about it next weekend. Aren't you happy that I'll be rooting for a Chiefs victory?
