Quote

We'll bounce back and have a great week of practice and get ready to go try and get a win next week," Tebow said.

But will he still be under center?

Broncos coach John Fox seemed to leave open the possibility of another quarterback change after this debacle."It's too early to say. I haven't even taken a shower yet, let alone look at the tape," Fox said when asked who would be his quarterback next weekend. "But we'll look at it and make changes where we see are needed. We've definitely got to get better."

This is just idiotic to me. I never agreed that Tebow should have been put in in the first place, but once you make your decision you have to stick with it. Going back and forth with your QBs isn't going to help anyone.

Well, theoretically, it should help the Chiefs, Raiders & Chargers, to name a few.

I say, please, keep at it, Donkeys!

I think he didn't want to put Tebow in to begin with. It was an edict from above...

...and no, I'm not talking about Jesus coming down and personally telling him to start Tebow.

Well, tbh, I'm not blaming John Fox or John Elway or even Tim Tebow. I'm putting the blame squarely on the shoulders of Josh McDumbass who created this catastrophe.

I do agree with that to an extent.

McDaniels drafted him, but he's not the one to play him last Sunday.

My view is if you think someone is ready to be your starting QB you stick with them. You don't put them in for 2 games then switch back.

Honestly I don't think Tebow should have ever been named the starter.

Why is McDaniels getting all the blame for the roster? Wasn't Brian Xanders the GM then and now?

Same reason five years of mediocrity was Vermeil's fault in KC after he left.... you always blame the guy who had your job before you. It's just good policy.

The Donkey's probably know Tebow isn't the best guy for this situation.

Fox is taking his "first year coach" free pass to tank the season by going to Tebow. This accomplishes three things: 1) they get in the race for a rookie first round QB, 2) it gives them justification for cutting Tebow and eating his contract this offseason since nobody will be left on that bandwagon, and 3) it sells tickets in a down year (thanks unwavering Tebow fans).

Fox and Elway were probably pissed when Tebow brought them back and beat the Dolphins.

Sorta reminds me of a parable I once heard.... An incumbent politician is voted out of office. He schedules a dinner with his successor. At the dinner, he hands his successor two letters in sealed envelopes labeled 1 and 2, and instructs him not to open them until something goes very wrong. Several months later, things begin to go wrong, so the successor opens the first envelope. The letter contains two words: Blame Me. He does, and his reputation is salvaged for a while, but after a few years pass, things begin to go wrong again, so the successor opens the second envelope. This time there are three words: Write Two Letters.

I think Fox knows exactly what he's doing. His team wasn't going anywhere and so he gave the fans exactly what they wanted. Sells tickets, takes the heat away from him, and proves them right when they get another QB.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong. And I'm sure some of you will tell me I am. But I'm not. Peace out, y'all!!

Uh-huh.

They traded away his weapons in an effort to both kill tebowmania and tank the season for a QB.

I hate this . We're gonna have a draft lottery after this crap is done with. Too many teams tanking on purpose.

I still think Denver is the only team tanking on purpose. You can't convince me otherwise without a really impressive evidentiary showing.

You will never get players or coaches to tank on purpose. They have too much pride. Especially players.

If you watch the things Irsay tweets (and then deletes, about his 'plan' for dealing with the peyton injury) it's hard to think the Colts aren't stacking the deck against their own team. Irsay KNEW Manning was badly injured, but he hid it... why? Who was he hiding it from? What precedent is there for an owner/GM to repeatedly boldface LIE about the health of their best player? What was the point? I think it was about deceiving the players on the team, not the media at large.

Irsay/Polian knew Manning was hurt, but they did NOTHING to deal with that. Signing 50 year old Kerry Collins?

Polian is the most underhanded sleazebag GM I've ever seen, and I have no doubt he and Irsay are doing their damndest to undermine their team and coach and land that #1 pick. Polian is THE REASON the NFL has turned into the NOL (National offense league) and the reason QB has become even MORE important than it was. No manning, no chance. He knows you need an elite QB... he's the one who made it this way.

People can talk all they want about luck being an understudy, but I'm still convinced Manning's career is over.

I think there's WAY more evidence against the Colts doing so than Denver.

Everything you just said is generic conjecture. You can at least point to personnel moves Denver has made. You're not selling me on the Colts tanking. I think they're just inept. You also said "too many teams tanking on purpose." That's two. Who are the others, even though I don't count the Colts.

For the record, I do think Manning's career is over, but I do not think that was in the cards for Polian until September. Who else should they have signed? I get that Collins is done, but who else was out there as a veteran option for them to get?

Manning has had neck problems for years. Acting like it was all thrown on Polian and Irsay's lap in september is just flat out wrong. Those teams did NOT ride Manning entirely to success. They have talent. They're not inept. The team had manning's injury dropped in their lap. They were told all along Manning would play this season. The media was told he'd play this season. Then they covered up his second neck surgery. Actively covered it up for two weeks! WHY?

Denver's personnel moves? You mean trading a WR who wanted traded, would not resign, and was in the final year of his contract? Starting a QB who fans want to see, that the club spent a 1st round pick on, when the season is a total lost cause anyway? Yeah, I know what I think, but I can totally rationalize all of them as well if I wanted to argue against it.

It's conjecture to say they're making all those moves because they WANT TO LOSE. Same as with the colts. I'm not in their offices... I don't know. I've never seen a front office/owner act so shady in my life.

And yes, I think two is too many teams. One is too many.
