Gotta love Al

Quote

Ladies and gentleman, Al Davis.
There really isn’t much to add here. The Raiders used a third round pick on QB Terrelle Pryor in today’s Supplemental Draft.
A gifted athlete, Pryor is an erratic passer who needs a lot of work if he is ever going to be a starting QB in the NFL. The Raiders, however, know all about drafting QB’s so you know, I am sure Pryor will be fine.
Thanks Al Daivs. The Raiders now do not have a second, third or a fourth round pick in 2012.
Not that they’d know what to do with them if they did.
What do you think Addicts? Will the Chiefs see Pryor on the field in black and silver later this season?

I guess they got nervous they would miss out on him if they waited until the 5th, since they didn't have a 4th rounder.

I knew the Raiders take him and I knew they would over pay for him. This had Raiders written all over it.

Pryor, in my estimation, is a much more talented QB than Jamarcus Russell ever was (pre or post fat). This is a real boom or bust pick, but we know how the Raiders have a way of turning them into busts.

Everything I've heard is that the Raiders plan to make him a WR.

That 4.38 forty almost guaranteed him to the Raiders.

I'm talking about recent Raiders, so of course I'm talking failures. I'm not talking about the Raiders of the 70s or anything. They were a greatly different team when Al Davis was just evil instead of evil AND senile.

I think it is hilarious that next year they don't have a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Rd.pic now.

This is a great move by a great organization! I love it when the Raiders continue to do what got them in this mess in the first place. OK, he is fast but he lacks QB skills to make him successful. He will be nice in a Wildcat formation. I don't see him as a successful WR unless he gets a toughness that I didn't see in him in College. It will be interesting to see if he ego can handle not being the #1 guy.
Pure blind luck... it's been protecting children from fire for centuries!

Yeah now. The draft is in April and they'll have a 3rd rounder by then.

They lost Aso, Gallery, and Miller. They lost more than they signed... they'll get compensatory picks. Probably at least 1 3rd rounder.

Good point. It would be an end of the 3rd round pick though, so basically a 4th.

I heard they wanted to bring back Gallery as their starting center, but his arms weren't long enough to reach the ball.
