Ravens bring in Bernard Pollard

Veteran safety Bernard Pollard, perhaps best known as the guy who blew up Tom Brady’s knee in 2008, is now playing for a team that has no warm or fuzzy feelings for Mr. Brady.

And they signed Pollard on Tom Brady’s birthday.

Sports Radio 610 in Houston, via the Baltimore Sun, reports that Pollard has agreed to terms with the Ravens.

A full-time starter for four of his five NFL seasons, Pollard played three years with the Chiefs before spending the last two in Houston.

The reason he's best known for blowing up Tom Brady's knee is because he f**king sucks!! It's his only accomplishment.

He has always been terrible, and there was a time that saying so wasn't a very popular opinion.

Well, considering that at that time he was better than what we had had...yeah...

However, at this point...yes, I'm pleased that we finally got rid of him while upgrading at the position

Not that Greg Wesley was some sort of mystical beast in the defensive backfield, but this is absolutely right. Other than a little bit of hitting power (G-Wes could hit with power too), Pollard was worse in every facet of his game, largely because he was always headhunting. I was hopeful at the time because Pollard did have some talent, but there's no doubt that Wesley was better.

Yeah man. Wesley blew coverages all the g-damn time... especially on play action. He bit hard on play action.

Pollard simply sucks at angles. You know some Safeties aren't that fast, but they take great angles and that allows them to get by. Pollard took some of the worst angles I've ever seen. He was usually WAY out in front and the ball carrier would just do a hesitation move of some kind and he'd just go flying right by.

The most tackles I've seen him miss is eight.

I'm pissed if my TEAM misses eight tackles!
