It is being reported that Miami is in talks with Orton to have him as their QB next year. I think this is a good move for Miami.

However I was flipping through the free newspaper here in Chicago and I came across this little opinion piece.

The trade with Denver way back when that brought Jay Cutler to Chicago and sent Kyle Orton to the Broncos has been good for the Bears. The Broncos, not so much. Orton is on his way out via another trade with some gullible team. Meanwhile, we have Cutler, who can, well, uhhh, on second thought let's call it a wash.

Obviously this guy pays no attention to anything besides the Bears because Orton was one of the good things to happen for Denver last year. If it was me I wouldn't be rushing Tebow in. I would keep Orton there untill his production starts to slip.

It will be awesome if Tebow sucks and they have to put in Brady Quinn.

I will be very happy the first time Hali makes Tebow eat grass.

The real competition in Denver could be Quinn vs. Tebow

We know there is a school of thought in Miami that says Kyle Orton could still be traded there. It makes a lot of sense.

In the meantime, Orton could be convincing the coaching staff in Denver that he’s the right man to lead the Broncos. Mike Klis of the Denver Postwrites that Tim Tebow is no longer getting anysnaps with the No. 1 offense.

“Tim Tebow is in a serious quarterback competition all right. He and Brady Quinnare neck and neck in the battle for the No. 2 quarterback spot,” Kils writes.

Orton is getting all the snaps with the starters, while Quinn occasionally takes the No. 2 snaps over Tebow. If the Broncos are playing a game of chicken here, it’s an expensive one.

They already paid Orton $1.5 million. They owe him $2.9 million in salary even if they cut him. Tebow needs the offense to be tailored around him if he’s going to be the starter, which is hard to do when Tebow is splitting second team snaps.

Nothing would shock us with this situation, but we’re starting to wonder if there was something to that February NFL Network report that said Tebow “lacked support” within the Broncos building.

I'm just happy that Tebow could be a huge bust.

Heh. I also hate Tebow.

Meanwhile, there's no doubt in my mind that John Elway will allow them to build a college offense around Tim Tebow. Furthermore, John Fox would never comprehend the creativity it would require to help Tebow succeed. He's done.

Homer: [reading] "Project Arcturus couldn't have succeeded without you. This will get you a little closer to that dream of yours. It's not the Dallas Cowboys, but it's a start. Drop me a line if you're on the East Coast, Hank Scorpio." Aw, the Denver Broncos!
Marge: I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good.
Homer: Yeah, yeah.
Marge: Well, explain to me why it isn't.
Homer: [sighs] You just don't understand football, Marge.

Kyle Orton scares me alot more than Tebow or Quinn. It just seems that Orton's career has been one huge case of the grass always being greener elsewhere. Tebow might have more potential, but Orton is a known quality, and not too shabby of one at that.
