The problem with video highlights of draft picks is this:
"Man, this guy is a beast! This is a can't miss draft pick. This guy is going to be an immediate star!"

It is exciting watching those highlights, you almost trick yourself into thinking he IS an immediate star. Where is that spark that Tyson showed in those highlights. He was a beast.

To be fair, I think the jury is still out on T-Jax. Bad rookie season, limited by injury his 2nd year, I wouldn't be surprised if he came out firing this year. I also wouldn't be surprised if he flamed out though.

Jackson was overdrafted! He is a good end and the video nailed it! The narrator said he was "suitable" lol. I hope he develops this year as he could make our line much better!
Pure blind luck... it's been protecting children from fire for centuries!

Yeah, I don't think he could ever live up to that 3rd overall pick status, but I think he could become an average to above average starter. Still a reach no matter how you look at it.

I wouldnt be surprised if we traded him in the next year or two, or even released him and Allen Bailey is your new starting DE.

Sure. That's every bit a real possibility, especially if Bailey plays up to his talent level.
I suppose my point was more that we still don't know what we really have in Tyson Jackson. That's obviously not a good thing, and I really think "potential" is often the nicest way you can say someone isn't doing good, but I don't think it's time to cut bait for nothing yet.

I think that we all want him to live up to the potential. Was he a reach at 3? Of course. I just hope that he can develop this year though. Otherwise I think that a team running a 4-3 might be willing to trade for him, but you don't want to wait too long on something like that.
