Actually, it was a lot easier than they sounds. I didn't just get tickets, I was offered some. A friend of mine called today and wanted to know if I'd like to go to the Big 12 Championship game, free tickets. Not only are they free tickets, but we are invited to a tented tailgate party with free food and booze, then we're going to a suite after half time. Not bad. I just need to put in some money for parking. GO MIZZOU!

Alright, we left early. Couldn't stand the idiot Sooner fans. I so wanted to be for OU in the national championship game but they are making it so hard. A Boomer Sooner woman standing next to me commented, "Ahhh, look at all the sad Mizzou fans now." And I told her "for your information, we were sad way before this game started. There's no way this is worse than losing to KU." The only good comeback that I could use on them was when I told them that Texas kicked Mizzou's ass way worse than OU did.

Another funny thing was that the OU fans would make noise whenever MU was on offense. But it wasn't a Chiefs type yell, it was like they were going "laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" continuously. Me and my buddies were cracking up for their lame ass attempt to make noise while their team was on defense. So we would do a very nice "laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" when MU was on defense. I told them that the yell Chiefs fans would do, especially in the 90's, was so lustily loud that it would make John Elway cower. Thier little melodic chant, I told them, had to make Daniel maybe slightly annoyed, but also a little entertained.

The laaaaaaaaa chant did not screw with Daniel, Daniel screwed with Daniel. I tell you, that guy has not been the same since the OSU game. He is nowhere near the QB we had last year and the first of this year.

Well, that was fun. Went to the VIP room, and low and behold, I see Carl "Satan" Peterson in the room, having a discussion with some old cowboy dude. I was actually one feet away from Kingless Carl where I could have performed the silent sleeper hold on him, but unfortunately, he actually had a security guard nearby him at all times. So I could not carry out my plan, as I was at too great of a risk of being plummeled by the security guard.

But the VIP room was awesome. Alot of very interesting characters were in that room. We had a selection of food to choose from, and they were nachos, chili, fried chicken finger strips, and a large round cookie or a double chocolate fudge brownie cake. Also alot of choices of drinks to choose from. From coffee, to tea, to pop, to strong alcoholic beverages.

As the ball game started, I noticed that Will Shields was in the room, and was watching the game. And I was making a discussion with my wife's father about the Chiefs season, it appeared that Will overheard the discussion, and we had a discussion on how the Chiefs should go and also how he's enjoying his retirement. Great guy, and I also thanked him for his committment to the community service in KC.

Then about halftime during the game, Lee Roy Selmon was there, and for those of you who don't know who he is, here's the link about him. I'm sure old timers like Skip and some other guys may know who he is.

Dude was a very tall guy. He talked about his playing days for OU and for the Bucs. Great gentle and humble guy.

Then around the 3rd quarter, when the OU/MU game was getting out of hand, were I was discussing with two of my buddies in this game that came down with my wife's father, Bill Snyder was in the room, and pretty much enjoying the game with his family on the booth on the left of us. Bill was pretty much quiet, as he spent several moments on his blackberry and his e-mails/internet. He did get up and around, and started shaking hands with several folks.

We had a discussion about college football in general, and asked him if he felt a playoff system would be a good thing or a bad thing for college football. Also talked to him and asked if one of my former head coach is still on the team, or if he has moved on after his hiring.

In all, it was a good experience.

I must say, the most interesting thing that happened during the game was that Sooner Wagon had major problems and got stuck in the 20 yard line, and that it took them at least 5-10 minutes for them to get it off the field.
