Well seeing how most of you are sleeping by the time University of Hawaii football games end. I'll do my best to keep you posted on the ins and outs of Hawaii Warrior football.

Well it's been a "rebuilding year" of course with the loss of Colt Brennan and ALL of the starting wide recievers. June Jones bolted to the Dust Bowl of SMU for 2 million a year for the next five years. AD Herman Fraizer got fired for basically being incompetent, and Hawaii finally has an AD that'll stand up to the state legislature and get some money for much needed upgraded/new facilities on campus, and repairs to Aloha Stadium aka the "Rusty Doughnut"

New Head Coach Greg McMackin is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet in your life, and I want to see the team do well just because he's so cool. Thus far a lot of tough games with losses to Florida, and Oregon State. The losses to San Jose State, and the ugliest loss of the year to Utah State have some folks jumping off the bandwagon of course, but yours truly's seat is firmly planted on this bandwagon and ain't gettin' off for nuthin'!!

Tonight they have a tough game against lowly Washington State, and another tough one against Cincinati next week to close out the regular season. (Fingers crossed) Hopefully they can pull off a win to seal a bowl bid on Chirstmas Eve(knock on wood). :prayfbgods:

GO WARRIORS!!!! :bang:
Aloha means Hello to Scott Pioli, and Good-Bye to Herman Edwards, and Carl Peterson!!

Well it wan't pretty by any means but the Warriors are gonna go Bowling for the third straight year. A hard fought 24-10 victory over a pretty scrappy WAZU team last night in a pretty crappy night for football. :bang:

It didn't rain real hard or anything like that, but it was an irritating light drizzle that was off and on the whole game. I'd say the biggest lowlight of the night was the transformation of the "Iceman" turnning into the "Waterboy". Dan Kelly was nearly perfect last year hitting clutch kicks, getting deep kick-offs and just being in the zone. This year he can't seem to hit the side of a barn. He missed three out of four field goals within 35 yards two of which were blocked. I mean he just utterly sucks ass this year. I think it's just time for his sorry butt to sit on the bench, and let the Freshman come in to kick field goals.

Wow the Hawaii Bowl got itself a truly "big name" school by getting Notre Dame to play Hawaii on Christmas Eve. Even though the Fighting Irish are only 6-6 they're still a draw. I know lots of Irish faithful around here. I wonder if Rudy is gonna make the trek down here for the game?

This is going to be a real boost to our local economy. 5,000 tickets were sold once the announcment was made, and they expect a sellout. I've got my tickets secured already seeing how my buddy got them for us last week even before we knew Notre Dame was coming. We were planning to go regardless and now we look even smarter than the fair weather fans that we have here.

One way to beat ND is to generate a hell alot of pressure on their QB. They are not a very good football team IMHO, and Hawaii should beat them.

Hawaii's front seven is very good at rushing the quarterback even though the secondary is very suspect. I for one love the team and the coaches, but the secondary gets burnt like farging toast every week. Plus the OC seems to get way too conservitive once UH has a lead.

You'd think when your Secondary coach(Rich Miano) actually played inthe NFL for over ten years would know how to teach these guys how to actually bump and run, instead of watching for someone to get open before reacting to the ball. It drives me bonkers when they get burnt like that.

Are you ready for some football folks? Later today I'll be going to watch my Warriors of Hawaii take a chunk out of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. It should be a good game. The bottom line here is that Notre Dame comes in and brings their 747 filled with players, students, alumnus, and boosters it brings that much more money into our local economy. I just hope the weather holds up so we can watch a good game, it's been a crazy rainny wet couple of weeks. I've got some serious tailgating to do.

GO WARRIORS!!!! :bang: :bang:
