The Kansas City Chiefs have announced they have signed free-agent DT Garrett Brown, DL Dion Gales, OT Robert Greenwood, OG Darryl Harris, QB Tyler Palko, SS Ricky Price, WR Verran Tucker and LB Pierre Walters to their practice squad.

Have no reason WHY there is a space here for Palko....But the others seem cut and dry. Would rather see J.Will back on PS. He is a nice change of pace back, and IF 1 of the top 2 go down, we need a backup. Todd has to rid himself of pride, and realise, some folks just aren't cut out to be football players.

I really don't understand the reasoning behind keeping Palko either. There has to be someone that can fill a roster spot that is better than him.

I'm guessing it's if MC goes down, we already have one signed. However, we better hope it's in the last few minutes of a game and McCluster can play QB as well. Single wing, anyone? :whistling:

Seriously, get me a journeyman QB just for insurance.
I still think Harris will make it as well as Gales. The rest, meh.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong. And I'm sure some of you will tell me I am. But I'm not. Peace out, y'all!!

For about 5 seconds that registered with me as "Nate Harris is available."

I think most teams keep a QB on the practice squad, in part as a developmental prospect, and in part in case there is a need for a scout team QB because of injury or other absence.

Marge: I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good.
Homer: Yeah, yeah.
Marge: Well, explain to me why it isn't.
Homer: [sighs] You just don't understand football, Marge.

I understand that, but I think there are better options than Tyler Palko as of this point.

I don't disagree. But it probably has a lot to do with him already knowing the system. Also, I think once a player has enough experience, he's not eligible for practice squad. So a guy like Patrick Ramsey (better than Palko) isn't eligible.

Correct, but the Chiefs don't have 3 QB's on the active roster. I'm not sure I'd want to take chances of having only two QB's on the roster, considering Croyle's inability to stay healthy.
