I will say this. There is a huge difference when Thomas Jone is in there and when Jamaal Charles is in there. If they don't give Charles the majority of carries, they deserve everything they get.

My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.

I thought the in depth analysis of the second half was classic.

This is what I've been saying all along.

Jones is a solid enough back, but Charles is a special player. This team is going to get as far as we can ride him.

I'd have to agree with most of what NK has said, especially about the tandem of DJ and Belcher as well as Casey's play. I know NK had to grimmace when he said Cassel was OK, but a 108+ passer rating is hard to ignore. Credit improved line play and Weis for some of that, but Matt did do a better job of getting rid of the ball and moving around in the pocket.
But the 2nd half did offer a couple of things worth watching. Asamoah flat out pancaked his man on a couple plays. His pass protection skills need work, but overall, I was impressed. Colin Brown could be our answer at RT. Again, needs work on pass protection, but so does O'C.
Rookies Horne and Slate had nice evenings. But where was our other rookie TE, Moeaki? If he was in, he didn't stand out. Lokey did get some push at the NT position, but still needs work and bulk.
Say goodbye to #15 Tucker and #13, Gunnell. Nothing much to see there.
Maybe it was just me, but I saw some things on the sidelines I liked as well. Brian Waters was in conference with Cassel a couple times and also had at least one dialogue with Haley. It might have been a "you suck", "I hate your guts" thing, but at least there wasn't any temper tantrums.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong. And I'm sure some of you will tell me I am. But I'm not. Peace out, y'all!!

I don't know what happened to the formatting of your post, but it makes me want to kill babies.

I wondered frequently why Moeaki wasn't in...i saw him dressed and ready to go, but never saw him in the game...I wonder if they're so sold on him playing, and don't want other teams seeing his play, that they kept him out?

He was in. I get the feeling that this is gonna be just like when we drafted a second linebacker named Derrick and expected that he'd play like Derrick #1.

Pretty sure he's been missing practice with some knick knack injuries. Can't say for sure though.

When was he in? I watched the entire thing, straining to see 81 on the field and never did...

Great read Nathan. I enjoyed it. Good stuff.

Cassel did have a good game. That's what you wanna see.
