I have noticed that Jason Shitlock's last story submitted to the Kansas City Star was dated May 26, 2010 (http://www.kansascit...corruption.html).

Has he been canned? Is he on vacation? Has he ran out of things to say? If he was canned, you would think that they would remove all his past articles off the web site. What is really telling to me is that he hasn't been around since May and no one has missed him.

Anyway, where are you s**tlock ?

My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.

The KC Star says that he is just on vacation. Last week someone reported that he no longer worked there and that he used to pay people to write his articles. Whitlock posted on his Twitter not to believe anything you hear unless you hear it from him.

After 16 years of writing thought-provoking and popular columns for The Kansas City Star, Jason Whitlock is leaving the paper to pursue other interests.

Whitlock joined The Star in 1994 as a general-interest sports columnist after writing for newspapers in Ann Arbor, Mich., and Charlotte, N.C. He immediately struck a chord with local readers and ultimately developed a national audience through his column and work in other media, including radio and television.

In 2008, he won a National Journalism Award for commentary from The Scripps Howard Foundation. He was the first sportswriter to win this honor. He also has won numerous other awards and has appeared on programs as varied as Oprah Winfrey, Lou Dobbs and ESPN’s "The Sports Reporters." He continues to write columns for FoxSports.com.

A 1990 graduate of and former football starter at Ball State University, Whitlock is an Indianapolis native.
