Hey everyone! The fantasy football league that I've played in/been commish in for the past 7 seasons has been set-up for the 8th season now. I've got the draft set for Aug. 28th. If you are interested in joining, PM me and I'll send you the sign-up information. I only have 4 spots left.

By the way, there are a couple of Raiders fans in this league and more than likely you will be playing against both of them at least once during the season, should you join the league. It'll give you chance to really show them what a Chiefs fan is made of. I'm not guaranteeing a victory for you because there is a reason why they have been playing in the league for 7 seasons now and one of them even won the championship last season. All I'm saying is that if you really want to smack on some Raiders fans, this will be a chance for you to do so.

I totally sucked in all 3 of my leagues this weekend. I don't even have a chance in any of them.

The two dumbest things in fantasy football is the tight end position and the scoring of defenses. The tight end spot is useless, if the tight end is good enough, owners will play them as WRs. But with only a limited number of elite TEs, many teams are at an immediate disadvantage right away without a good tight end to pick from. All leagues need to eliminate that position.

Another flaw is the scoring of defenses. How in the hell do you punish a defense for a score the offense gives up? Example, last night I went into the game tied with the Miami defense on my team and the other guy had no one. Miamis offense and special teams gave up most of the second half points and the defense was punished for it. Needless to say, I lost.

The defense should be credited only with what the defense does, not the offense or special teams. Take the special teams away from the defense too, that is hard to judge by putting special teams and D's together. Give the returner 6 points for any TD he gets and don't give him the return yards and thats how you'd score that. The defense scoring is just a messed up deal.

Started Matt Cassell today on a whim because Schaub was on bye, and it paid off quite handsomely.

Well, I'm split in my leagues. Dominating one league with a 12-1 record so far. Happy times!Posted Image

Other league, I'm already eliminated from the playoffs Posted Image

As for the defense scoring mentioned above, that's a tricky one. I've actually seen some leagues that don't count the points given up on special teams or offensive players. Technically though, if say a QB throws an INT or someone fumbles, the NFL instantly considers the team losing the ball as a "defense" and the team gaining possession an "offense" even though it's players from the opposite side of the ball that are on the field.

One reason I like the ID format. It takes longer to draft, but there are no worries about which players give up the points.

Here's a question for you though Warthog: If a QB throws an INT, the opposing player runs it down the field only to fumble the ball back to the original offense, does that count as a FR for the DEF in your league?

I am in the finals (ESPN League wks. 16/17). I have been kicking ass all year and decided this week to try and get slick and start messing around. I benched Hakeem Nicks and Greg Jennings in place of Tashard Choice and VJax. I also picked up SD defense for a whopping -2. Michael Turner went bust. Needless to say, it wasn't a good start. I am down 21 going into the final week but am confident I will pull it off now that I am gonna go back to the team who brought me here. What a f**king Elvis Grbac move!

Congrats on your Finals Brook. Good Luck. I tried to get slick in the Championship of one of the Warpath leagues and it cost me. I started Garrard over Rodgers, coming off a concussion, and against the GI-ants. (cost me 19 points) Also at the last minute, benched KBritt, in favor of Boldin. Britt got 10 points to Boldins goose egg. I lost by 7.
In the Championshiip of a PPR league, this week. Hope to choose some of those that will actually 'play'. Right now my Starting lineup is...
Rivers, QB; Wallace, Jacoby Jones, and Mike Williams(TB), WRs; Jamaal and Foster as the RBs; VDavis, TE; Matt Bryant, K; and Steelers D.

Thanks for joining, Inky! Yea, this season was one of the most competitive ones. When they start up with the leagues next season, I'll set it up and send out the invites to everyone. Since you're in the league now, you'll automatically get the invite.

Glad you enjoyed playing in it.
