México!!! México!!!

Vamos México!!!

It doesnt look good against Argentina but anything can happen...

Sorry for US team, they fought to the end but they let the game go in the 2nd half...

Sorry to hear about Mexico, Tlatoani. I was rooting for them to get past Argentina. Tough game.

It was a shame, that is why I dislike soccer, the ref blew a call, they knew at the moment and couldnt correct the call, then a huge mistake by one player and you are 2 goals behind. México is a team that cant afford to get behind in the score, we dont have the talent to come back from that kind of score against top competition...

Anyway I dont like soccer to begin with, I didnt take the defeat as hard as everybody here... This is a tragedy for mexican people this is our national sport (not to me but...), I think we will survive...

Did you see where the FIFA president is now back-pedaling on his decision to not consider instant replay? He got so much global criticism about that and even went as far as to apologize to Mexican and English team officials.
What I'm wondering is where the hell is the apology to US team officials and every other team that's been screwed by officiating so far? Mexico and England weren't the only two teams that need apologies from him.

Apologies wont solve the problem, in fact, it is far from correct the mistakes committed by the refs, as you said, other teams got screwed too... This is a structural problem, one ref on the field isnt enough and to not use the benefits that technology gives you is really a stupid stubborness.

This game is obsolete and archaic, they refuse to make adjustments to make the game better, they are content with the state of the game and you could see it hasnt evolved that much since the first WC was played many years ago...

In a few words, I cant stand soccer... It's a boring game with few exiting moments...

PD Argentina was the best team, they wouldve won the game regardless of blown calls...

Didn't the World Cup end last Saturday?

My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.

I don't mind the refs wielding the power that they do at all. IMO sports in America are beginning to rely too much on video replay that only serves to draw already long games even longer. Thats why I, who don't really like baseball to begin with, respect baseball for basically saying they have no intent to expand the use of replay in the game, even though with it there are calls that could change games or even players individual accomplishments (couple weeks ago a should be perfect games was blown for a pitcher)

Congrats to Spain though, they played their sound defensive soccer game and were able to neutralize Germany to get to the Final and the Netherlands in the Final - both of those teams were defintely strong scoring teams that Spain was able to completely neutralize.
