I cover Haven, Andale and Maize High Schools as a part of my job and have a close eye on Hutchinson, Buhler, Inman, Sedgwick, Halstead, Hesston and Moundridge as well as the City League.
Does anyone else get into any of these teams? We have any Wichita/Hutchinson area people who go to the games?

It's not that bad. I love the Hutchinson/Wichita area. I know its small and quaint, but the people out here are good local people, and they care about their communities. I enjoy being a part of that.

That stretch between us and Colorado... that is hell.
Or... yanno.. the Middle East. Don't wanna live in sand.
Seriously though I'm from the area but I don't watch high school sports. I only watch NFL football. I don't really appreciate the sports-obsessed culture of the mid-west.

Having lived in Dodge City Kansas and am very familure with that part of the country. I can honestly say that if the word were going to get an enima. Then Liberal Kansas is where they would stick it.

Having lived in Hillsboro, I can say that you're pretty much spot on your analysis, Mighty Joe. We played against Hesston, Halstead, and Wichita Collegiate when I was in HS. I'm not sure if they do now these days.
Had some great games against Collegiate (mostly in basketball, the football team usually gets killed) in the 90's. Kinda somewhat embarrasing the last time the football team, as far as I know, beat Collegiate was in 1998, my senior year.
