Eight players confirmed to attend draft
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 25, 2010 12:34 PM ET

Tim Tebow is a maybe but eight draft prospects have checked off "Yes, I will attend" for the NFL Draft in April.

Here's the list of confirmed guests, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network:

Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma State tackle Russell Okung, Georgia Tech defensive end Derrick Morgan, Oklahoma tackle Trent Williams, Tennessee defensive tackle Dan Williams, Tennessee safety Eric Berry, and Penn State defensive tackle Jared Odrick.

That's a lot of linemen.

Quarterbacks like Tebow, Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, and Jimmy Clausen are currently "mulling their options."

With the 75th anniversary of the draft and the first Thursday primetime first round, the league is looking to have more players than ever before in Manhattan.

I didn't see McClain or Bulaga's name on that list.

I really hope TeBow passes up the invite.

Watching him fall into the second day (and possibly beyond) would be really painful.

Yeah, I don't understand why they are inviting so many players this year. For some of the guys that do accept, they will just have to come back for the second day. Why not just keep it at 8 or so?

think about all the players not going to the draft, but throwing parties at home for their friends and family. Guys who think they are gonna go in round 1 maybe near the tail end will have folks out on Thursday night. If they slip out of round 1, and through round 2, they'd need to have everyone back for a third day in a row! At that point it is sort of embarrassing to not get drafted but have all your loved ones nearby. I think it's much more tolerable when it is just sitting and waiting around for hours on end as opposed to having the same thing happen to you for 3 days in a row. That's like Groundhog's Day!

Eh, I ain't attendin no draft or going to the podium. I'm gonna go grab my fishing pole, my boat, and my truck, haul it down to Lake Wyandotte, and go fish.

Now that's a way to say it.

Of course, that's what Joe Thomas did. Of course, he didn't go fish at Lake Wyandotte, but still, the dude went fishing with his old man instead of being on TV.

Cheers to him.
