I am amped up for the start of the season. More so than ever because I'm a Houston Rockets fan.
This is their year to shut up all the critics of T-Mac & Yao, and make a deep playoff run. I could care less about those who bring up T-Mac's failure to get out of the first round of the playoffs in his career.
With the team Daryl Morey (GM) has put together over these past few years, they have bigger goals to focus on. Alston, T-Mac, Ron-Ron, Scola, Yao, Carl Landry, Shane Battier, & Brent Barry (to name a the top 8 rotation) is as much depth and talent as this team has had since the Dream days.
Just have to hope this squad retains their health throughout the year, and most importantly, at the end of the season. If that happens, Rick Adelman can work his magic and bring this team places.

Artest will definately help that team in a lot of ways, I still think the Lakers with a healthy Bynum are the best of the West

Yes, I do agree that as of now, the Lakers have to be the favorite in the conference. Still, I am interested to see how everyone meshes with the addition of Bynum to the Gasol version Lakers. I believe Pau is very unselfish and will not mind the dip in production with Bynum around because that's just the kind of player he is.
However, I'm not as sure on the SF position for Odom seems like he could become a distraction later on in the year..Especially if PJ wants to put Ariza in the starting lineup.
But until the Rox prove they are the real deal with the addition of Artest, I will reserve judgment on calling them the team to beat in the West.
And to boot, I believe the Hornets can be just as good as the Rox or Lake show with the addition of Posey and a currently healthy Peja. Should be an entertaining year.

Gotta love opening week. Have some pretty good games today with Boston and Cleveland and then Oden vs. Bynum. I think those Trailblazers could be a darkhorse

I have not watched an NBA game since Rodman played.

I stopped watching when Wilt retired. Plus I don't like the 3 point shot. I think that's bogus. I do however watch the USA team in the Olympics.

I watch the conference and NBA finals when possible, if the teams have any players I like. Baseball, Basketball and Hockey: watch 0 season games unless its the only thing on, then watch parts of the playoffs, but try to see every game of the finals, series, etc
