I like Cam Thomas and the Shipley pick (we need a playmaker somewhere in this offseason). Okung is fine too, I don't really have a strong feeling about what OL prospects I like yet.
I think this safety class is too deep and talented to spend our 2nd pick on it. Nate Allen is fine and all, especially since he can play either safety spot, but there are literally about 15 guys that are worthy of being drafted at safety in the first 4 or 5 rounds.
I'm especially puzzled by your depth chart... No new starting Linebackers? I think we need 3 or at least 2 personally. Mike Brown starting instead of Page makes me wonder, am I the only one thinking (and hoping) that Page is gonna resign and come back strong? Also, I know Niswanger can't be our long-term solution, but I fail to see how Wade Smith is any better.

Page is a FS, Brown is a SS

Yeah, I know.
I was making reference to the fact he had us drafting someone to play FS instead of SS, which I feel is the bigger need. Really, I think the guy he chose, Nate Allen, could play either position, but I'd much rather see Page as a starter than Mike Brown. Of course, we'd have to resign Page (he's an RFA I think).
If we go into next year with Brown penciled in as a starter, we might be in trouble.

Yeah, but I still feel the need at linebacker is strong enough a mid to late round pick isn't gonna cut it.
Predicting the draft requires knowing what 32 teams are going to think on well over 200 decisions, many of them snap decisions based largely on circumstances out of their control. If you could predict that you could quit your job and become Mel Kiper Jr.'s hair.
I'm waiting until after the combine to look and see who rises and who falls, but I'll piece together a massive post about players I'm interested in and a mock of the Chiefs draft. You'll get your chance to rip me apart then.

Wow...that's the kind of post I'd expect from RoR...tearing it down without any sort of supporting theories as to why.

Second pick will be a tackle that will slip down to us, maybe Charles Brown, to put in at right tackle. Our second pick in the second round? I don't have a guess yet, but at 68th pick, in the third round, the Chiefs will take my guy Toby Gerhart to handle the short yardage and spell Charles.

That's cool....you get your toilet paper out and jot down your picks and draft day we will see how well we both do....post them today before the combine gets under way so you don't have info I wasn't afforded for my picks!
