Off-the-court issues, a target on their back, and a head coach incorrectly assuming some players were ready to step up and take leadership. That's my guess. Also, they miss Clemente bad.

They're still a good team, and they're going to bite someone on the ass, but unless they win the Big XII tournament they are NIT bound... at best.

Only took a 3 weeks and now the Cats are very much relevant, again. I'm hoping Baylor bombs now so that they wont be taking an at large from a mid major.

Eh, some teams goes through highs and some teams go through lows. While I'm disappointed that we aren't going to contend the Big XII regular season title, I'm also happy to know that they didn't exactly "mail" their season in, which some teams are capable of doing it so.

Regardless, the Big XII tournament, everybody's 0-0. What they did during from the beginning to the end of the season, pretty much irrevelent, at least in my view.

I'm not sure why you prefer a another mid-major to make the tourney over another Big 12 team. The more teams in the conference to make the tournament, the stronger the conference looks.

Sometimes I look back at old posts and I'm amazed at how intelligent and insightful I am, then I realize I'm reading one of Dom's posts.

K-State has been a pretty good defensive team almost all year, they just didn't have things figured out offensively early on. They had to entirely change their offense mid-season in order to get the rapid turnaround they've had. They're playing more to their strengths. It's working.

Part of the reason everyone was so down on them (myself included) was because they weren't playing to their talent level. Now that the offense is more tailor made, it's working out alot better.
