I went with C and NT.
Both of our currents are utterly useless, and we need them to build the rest of the lines on. JMO.

Offense wise I don't like any other position that high. Same with the D. Although there isn't a true NT that will go that high. I still think if there was I would go there. Prolly NT over LT if it came to that.

You need a physically dominating road grader at RT.
Albert is not that, especially since he lost the weight.
He improved significantly over the last qurter of the season as he got more comfortable with technique and scheme, and he'll build on that.
Giving up on him now at LT would be ****** moronic, but not surprising.

As for positions of need....Center and MLB(Reynaldo McClain anyone..talk about a play maker.)

As a general rule, I'm not in favor of taking ILB with a top 5 pick, but I could live with Rolando McClain if it came to that.

Does anyone know when the season is declared "un-capped"? The availability of FAs will have to impact our plans.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong. And I'm sure some of you will tell me I am. But I'm not. Peace out, y'all!!

I have always preferred to build from the front to back, so I went with LT on offense. It's not because I don't think Albert can succeed at LT, only because I think a true LT can improve 2 spots on the line at the same time. Who cares if he's being paid LT money, a top flight RG doesn't go cheap either. For that matter though, has anyone else noticed that the best RTs are guys that can play LT? I'd say you draft a guy that can play both and put him at RT. Even if he doesn't pan out as a starter, getting a swing tackle that can backup either spot would be pretty valuable in and of itself.
On defense, I went ILB. We could honestly use two starting ILBs. I'd settle for one. Most notable of course would be Rolando McClain. Sean Weatherspoon would be a great pick early in the 2nd round if he slips to us also. I really think both are the complete package. I seriously would not be opposed to us taking both. After all, 3-4 defenses are supposed to be centered around the LBs.
I think though if Eric Berry is available at our pick, we should take him. He actually had a down year statistically, but I wouldn't let that scare me. He's a very consistent tackler, great in coverage, inconsistent hands (looked consistent first two years of his career though).
The point on defense though is we need playmakers. Berry, McClain, Spoon... they fit that bill. On offense we definitely got a playmaker in Jamaal Charles. Hali played awesome as a rush linebacker this year, but I don't know if you call him a cornerstone to build around. Flowers, maybe, but I'd like to see a playmaker in the front seven to really open things up on defense.

Rudy's not the weakest link anyway.

Why would he take a cut in pay? Do you think Carolina asked Jordan Gross to take a cut in pay the two years he started at RT?

If were going to look at our top 3 needs I think we could look at any position on the offensive line, also a nose tackle, and either ILB of a safety. It looks like this will be a deep oline and safety class so we may be able to find those guys after the first round.

All 3 were so bad they don't even deserve back-up jobs.
No, it was Goff, hands down. Dude was such a solid player before he got here too.
Our biggest priority, however, is RT. We have a couple of potential solutions at RG, but none on the outside.

No, it's Rudy.
Goff went on IR when again? Early in the year, so his play wasn't really the contributing factor. Rudy...man, that guy...
