Nice read, nK. I wasn't happy about Haley's decision to walk out on the team, but I didn't know any of the specifics of "he saw Bill Parcells do it once," and that helped. Haley, if he wanted to pull this stunt, should've done it Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest... and even then, it's a bad idea.

Homer: [reading] "Project Arcturus couldn't have succeeded without you. This will get you a little closer to that dream of yours. It's not the Dallas Cowboys, but it's a start. Drop me a line if you're on the East Coast, Hank Scorpio." Aw, the Denver Broncos!
Marge: I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good.
Homer: Yeah, yeah.
Marge: Well, explain to me why it isn't.
Homer: [sighs] You just don't understand football, Marge.

As much as I want to give the newcomers a break, that walking out on practice is pretty Jr. High. You made an excellent point when you noted it was the Tuna that did that. Everyone expects Bill to do stuff like that, but by golly, he wins games. He's paid his dues. Haley, on the other hand, is a rookie HC and it's becoming more obvious each day that he's just overwhelmed. So, put the ego back in the bag and ask for some help. Treating these players like they are 12 year olds and carrying the entire load will only end badly.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong. And I'm sure some of you will tell me I am. But I'm not. Peace out, y'all!!

Yeah... Parcells did it with his 3rd team after taking the previous 2 teams he coached to the superbowl. It's a long history of success and because of that he instantly has the respect of the players.

I have a feeling more than a few of the KC players weren't 'inspired' by an 0-4 asshole coach doing so... they were probably rolling their eyes and mocking him for being an arrogant self absorbed douche.

I know I personally would react VERY differently to each guy doing this if I was in their shoes.
