As Howard Cosell said so eloquently in one of his most quoted statements, "Wow! What a performance!
Anyone else see the Twins-Tigers one game playoff today/tonight? I watched the first of it, went to take my son to football practice, then came back home and watched the end. It was 4 1/2 hours long and the end of it was one of the most exciting games I've seen. I know both teams suck and the Yankees will kill the Twins, but this was a great game.
I found myself rooting for the Twins and I figured out why. Joe Mauer has to be my favorite position player in baseball right now. That guy is awesome and is worth the price of admission.
Never been a Twinkie fan, but I am for this moment. Go Twins! Kick the Yanks asses!
What a performance!

My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.

Yea, I started watching it when it was in the 9th inning. I'm not a fan of either team, but that game had me on the edge of my seat. I was rooting more for the Tigers, though.
And I'll root for any team that can knock the shit out of the Yanks!
