From one KC Superfan to another

My name is John W.Losh II.I am 40 years old,and a life-long Kansas City,Missouri resident.Did not become a football fan until the early 90's (you can find that story on my profile under Meet The Superfans on www.kcsuperfans.com ).I go by the KC Superfan character name of Fire CHIEF.My daughter Cara also has a profile there,as she is Deputy Fire CHIEF.I chose that title, because when I first became a Superfan and attended my first Charity event-the 2006 First Downs for Down Syndrome,at Arrowhead,I had just begun working as a 911-Calltaker for the Kansas City,Missouri Police Department. That connection as a city employee helped me obtain a brand-new fire helmet from the KC Fire Dept. training academy, and that's how I chose a fire character. (Plus,I had seen the guy that, like our superfans, always gets on camera at NY Jets games, that wears a fire helmet.) I now work in KCPD's Records Section,on the 3pm-11pm shift.
While you are on kcsuperfans.com,click on "News" and read the many articles I wrote about Superfan activities I have been a part of.Also have lots of pics posted there under "Newer Photo Album".They are giving me my own blog there, and I havealready sent the first one to X-Factor,but have not seen it posted yet.It will be a monthly blog for now,"Fire Up The Offense-The Official Blog of Fire CHIEF.".I chose that title, based on what is on the back of my Fire CHIEF costume shirt. I have a Facebook page dedicated to my Character and Chiefs football-KCSuperfan Fire Chief,as well as a MySpace page- www.myspace.com/kcfirechief . I have been posting Barry Peraino's BarrysKOOLAID videos on both, and also have some other Superfan included videos posted on both.I think Barry is awesome,as are some of the rest of you that have appeared in his videos!
From what he mentioned in Volume #16-I believe I live near "Hail Gunther"-as I also live near Worlds Of Fun,in Kansas City,North. In the past,I hosted part-time once a week Radio shows,on KCXL-1140am-Liberty,from Fall 2004,until August 2008,including a year long show "Sports-Live With The Losh-Man-Where Faith.....Meets Sports",which is how I met some of the KC Superfans and decided to get involved.I have hosted First Down Elvis and Weird Wolf,Retro Fan,Monte Weaver and Superfan Cartoon artist Darryl "Chiefs Sharpie" Woods, and then Ty Rowton-the X-Factor.I am excited right now,as my son John, who was on Radio with me and ran my sound-boards the last 6 months I was on,has the possibility of becoming a broadcaster of Winnetonka High School football games on Internet Radio this year. The Integrity Sports Network that I was part of on KCXL-also broadcasted the NKC School District Football "Game Of The Week" one year, and even had videos made of the games. He is attending My alma-mater,there at Tonka.
Unfortunately,at this time, finances, and sometimes my work schedule prevent me from making it to more than a game or so a year, but I am currently off weekends,so if any of you ever have extra tickets, and just want to help out a brother fan, please feel free to contact me (provided it's during the Warm part of the season-not afraid to admit,I do not do Cold weather!)
I don't want to be redundant,so I won't go over all of what I had already posted on another part of Homeof thechiefs.com about how no one should already be getting all "gloom & doom" about the Chiefs after these first two preseason games, still time for some to grow and develop, etc. But,I say that this is an exciting time. All new leadership is guiding the Chiefs.Arrowhead is all new.Kcchiefs.com's website just got a makeover. We made some great trades, signings and Draft picks this year, that are already starting to show some promise.
That's all I have for now, look forward to chatting with some of you in the near future! Go Chiiiiiiieeeeeeeffffffssssss!

My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.

Thanks, appreciate that.Nice picture, but I never could even begin to like that Battlestar series-still 100% loyal to the original 80's Battlestar/Battlestar 1980.Even interviwed Richard Hatch by phone on Radio a few years ago-that was a thrill!
