And you can say the same thing about golf, except replacing base runner with golfer walking to the green.

I love baseball. You can't watch baseball though expecting it to be like football, it's not that intense, but it does take a different way of watching it, it's much more laid back. Besides, the rise in bean ball fights lately has made it a little more exciting.

I agree with the too many games. They should go back to the 154 games that it used to be in order to get the World Series done before November.

My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.

I don't watch baseball just tired of it being on sportscenter. And I have to watch sportscenter when football season comes around.

154 games is better? You know the season is too long when, at the half-way point, 75% of teams admittedly stop trying (and start trading) cause they know the playoffs are out of their reach.

What I hate most about baseball is the nearly pause-free cycle of season, post season, spring training. When the season is over, they take like a week off and head out to spring training to hog up ESPNews.

But, good news. That one week off is approaching, with October 4th being the last day of the regular season. I always try and watch games 4 on up of the World Series, then I celebrate with a beer when the final out is made. Not because I care who wins, but because there won't be a game on TV tommorrow and I'm the furthest point away from more baseball.
