Moore says Hillman will be back as KC's skipper

The criticism isn’t likely to go away soon, but at least now Royals manager Trey Hillman knows he won’t, either.
The news came in a story published in The Star on Sunday, with general manager Dayton Moore saying that Hillman would “absolutely” be back as manager in 2010.
“For our general manager to say that,” Hillman said, “it certainly gives you a boost of confidence, no doubt, and I’m appreciative of that.”
Hillman said he understands the frustration from the fans, understands the negative perceptions and why there’s booing at Kauffman Stadium.
“I’m for whatever this organization wants to do,” he said. “I want to be here. I want to continue to grind through this, to go through the hard times and the hard knocks, the second guessing of strategical moves, the protection of (Joakim) Soria and making sure we don’t run him back into another injury.
“I’ve got to stick with my guns, stick with my convictions of what I’ve learned and what I know is best for the individual guys over the long haul for this organization — whether I am here or whether I’m not here — to do what’s right. I’ll continue to do that to the best of my ability.”

My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.

He may have to reconsider that pretty soon, especially with this horrible losing streak going one right now....
