I think that's on par or faster than Bowe's 40 time (4.6?)

It appears from my google search that he timed in a 4.51

:pity:

I should probably be beaten with rusty chains then.

Homer: [reading] "Project Arcturus couldn't have succeeded without you. This will get you a little closer to that dream of yours. It's not the Dallas Cowboys, but it's a start. Drop me a line if you're on the East Coast, Hank Scorpio." Aw, the Denver Broncos!
Marge: I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good.
Homer: Yeah, yeah.
Marge: Well, explain to me why it isn't.
Homer: [sighs] You just don't understand football, Marge.

Tony never really struck me as being slow.

He always struck me as slow.

I don't put a lot of stock into combine times.

He trained for it, and got his weight to a low for him, so he timed better than he would at his football weight.

I would venture to guess that he had a speed coach as well.

None of that is any different from what any other player does though, so for comparison's sake between one player and another the numbers still hold true.

I know that's true, however, I think Tony weighed in at about 15 pounds than his playing weight at the combines, and his weight has increased since.

Like I say, he never looked fast to me.

I'd bet he'd have trouble breaking 5.5 now.

I highly doubt that he's that slow, even at his age. He's not gonna win any track meets, but 5.5 is considerably slower than most interior linemen. If you think that Rudy Niswanger (5.18) can outrun Tony Gonzalez, you are completely full of shit to a degree that I have never been, and I've been mighty full of shit once or twice in my life.

It's probably good you're getting that surgery.
