Skimming through this weeks SI and reading the cover story of a 16 year old from Las Vegas who's got the tools to be even better than A-Rod or Ken Griffey Jr. . He hit a homer out of Tropicana Field that measured at 502ft.!!! Are you kidding me? He's only 16 years old, and has a quicker bat than McGwire did back in the day. Plus he hit 12 homers in this competition avereging about 450-475 per home run. This kid has Ruthian power as a freshman he hit a ball so far out of the park it landed in the NV desert an estimated 570 feet away!!

He could be the "next big thing" and he's already getting "advice" from none other than Scott Borrus so you know this kid's gonna be prime pickins in next years draft. One plan is for Harper to get a GED and attend a Junior College so he can be eligible for next year's draft. So this is the kid on everyone's radar now so keep an eye out for him. He's listed as a catcher, but he can pitch too throwing in the high nineties. He's got speed as well having scored six times from second base on wild pitches. I repeat FROM SECOND BASE!!!! This kid sounds too good to be true, but we shall see what happens to him this time next year.
Aloha means Hello to Scott Pioli, and Good-Bye to Herman Edwards, and Carl Peterson!!

Pretty amazing, hope he can hit for average though lol. I'm ready to see who my Padres are gonna draft with the #3 overall pick this year in the MLB Draft coming up soon. I hope the kid from SDSU, Stephen Strasburg, slips to us but he won't. I'm sure the Nationals will pick him with the first overall pick. Now this kid has ALL the tools, 6'4 220 lbs. and has been clocked at throwing 103 mph fastballs lol.
