Alright, it's been a year and immediately after last years draft the consensus seemed to be that the Chiefs draft grade was somewhere in the A to A+ area. We have now had a year to look at it. Three of the 12 draftees have been cut and Dorsey had a season last year that was arguably below expectations. What say you.
I'm going to say because of reasons listed above, that it is now at a B+. That is a pretty strong grade and is supported mainly by Flowers, Albert, and Carr. Dorsey still has a chance to bring it back to an A after he improves this season. Hopefully he does that improvement for the Chiefs.

We have our cornerstone at LT for years to come. That in my mind should give this draft an A+ all in its own.
Signature made by Bone.

The Chiefs should sign Julius Peppers, Antonio Pierce, Joey Porter, L.T., Darren Sproles, Antrel Rolle, Oshiomogho Atogwe, and Thomas Jones. SUPER BOWL!!!

A-
we got a future probowl CB and LT and the DT may have been a little "down" but DT takes a few years to start dominating.... Overall great draft. I hope I can say the same thing about this years draft

I gave it a B. If Dorsey gets off his ass and does something then thegrade will go up. Thats why your supposed to wait three years.

He didnt have a terrible rookie year, most rookie DT's don't dominate their rookie seasons
Agreed. Can anyone name two modern day DTs that have?
Last draft we got three instant starters in Albert, Flowers and Carr. Dorsey had a good rookie year, even better than Warren Sapp's rookie year. He'll learn and get better. We got a change of pace back in Charles. A possible TE of the future in Cottam. Not a bad draft.
FWIW...
Sapp. Games 16. Solo Tackles 16. Assist 10. Total Tackles 27. Sacks 3. INT 1. FF 1. Passes Defended 5.
Dorsey. Games 16. Solo Tackles 32. Assist 14. Total Tackles 42. Sacks 1. INT 0. FF 1. Passes Defended 1.
Dorsey was put there to be a run stopper, not be a pass rusher. Plus he was playing out of position. I'm sure he'll make huge steps over the next couple seasons.... I also expect Tank Tyler to surprise a lot of people.

I gave it a B simply because Glenn Dorsey had an ok year but Albert, Carr, and Flowers were great. Now imagine if Cottam and Charles ever turn out to be studs, my rating would instantly go to an A.
