Why is it that the AL uses a DH and the NL doesnt? Im watching the cubs game where we are at the bottom of the order with two outs. Theriot doubles so we get our tying run in scoring posistion. Than the pitcher gives our catcher nothing to hit out and walks him so he can get our pitcher who of course goes out one, two, three. There is no reason why a pitcher needs to hit and I dont understand why the NL cannot or wont use a DH. Can anyone help me understand?

Signature made by Bone.

The Chiefs should sign Julius Peppers, Antonio Pierce, Joey Porter, L.T., Darren Sproles, Antrel Rolle, Oshiomogho Atogwe, and Thomas Jones. SUPER BOWL!!!

its just the rules of the game AL owners voted to keep the pitcher from hitting and the NL decided to keep it the same as its always been thats why theyre called the senior circuit...i believe

I think it has something to do with Bob Costas.
My name is Maximus Decimus Warthog, member of HomeoftheChiefs.com, former season ticket holder of the lower level , loyal servant to the true coach, Martimus Schottenheimer. Father to disenfranchised sons, husband to a non football fanatic wife, and I will see my Chiefs in a Super Bowl, in this life or the next.
