I never thought I'd miss Tagliabue but Goodell really needs to go. I hate every last one of his ideas. Teams fight all year to get HFA and now that might get taken away? :brilliant:

The NFL has become SO weak under his tenure. Defense in particular is nothing like it was 10 years ago. And the collages, with their gimmick offenses, aren't helping either and are all but guaranteeing the number of QB recruits that can operate in a pro-style offense and take snaps from under center will keep getting fewer and fewer.

If you desperately need a starting, rookie QB next year; you're fucked.

if anyone thinks that freezing conditions create an unfair advantage for the home team, ask Packers fans what they got in exchange for free-drying their cajones for three-plus hours in January 2008.

My daughter and I were at that game in the same seats my parents sat in during the IceBowl. We LOVED IT and we had FUN all the way up to the final interception. When the game-time temperature was announced prior to kickoff the whole crowd stood and cheered. We figure we were outside for at least six hours that night and honestly didn't feel cold until walking back after the game was done.

My dad always said "It only feels cold when you're losing" and that's very true.

The night before the game was especially fun because my parents were telling us all their IceBowl stories. We sat on the couch in their basement and practiced how to stand up and cheer without dropping the blanket being used to cover both people. (fun little trick, you have to sit on the bottom of it, but the blanket has to be big enough to make a steam tent over your heads). My dad was so excited for Green Bay be able to host another championship game, and although he was disappointed to no longer be able to attend games himself, he was so thrilled for my daughter to go in his place. He gave me his favorite jacket and mittens that he had worn to the last championship game (prior to sb 31) and to so many other cold games. He hugged me tight and said "well, at least a part of me will still be there as long as you wear this jacket." I would not trade that memory for anything.

Thanks to Greatness for the Great Sig!

That's awesome. We've got a 8 to 10-sized crew of Pack Fans out here, and they're VERY loyal to their team. And they'll tell you; if they married in to a Packer family( and weren't already hard-core followers of another team ), they became Packer fans by proxy and very quickly!

God I love Football!
