I remember when the New England Patriots went 16-0 but they weren't champs of anything... all about post season

Congrats go to the Tigers. they played a spirited game, and I am really pulling for them come BIG TOURNY time. That and the Tarheels. Love that Hansbrough!!

The hats they were wearing said 'Big 12 conference champions' on it and it is always referred to as the league champion when you win the tourney. The Jayhawks were the regular season champs, just like the Chiefs won the regular season in 1995, 1997, and 2003. They were not NFL champs that year though.
