Looks like the Royals are in first place in the division, but 172 more games to go.
Damn, when did they add all those games to the schedule? Why in my day, a baseball season used to be just 162 games.

I am becoming more impressed with these Royals pitchers by the day. They have shut down the Texas freakin Rangers offense. They also shut down the Cleveland Indians, who have just went ballistic on the Yankees. They shut down the Yankees offense for the most part. They shut down the White Sox offense. I'm beginning to think they are for real.

Quote

1) Chicago White Sox.

In three games with Meche, Greinke, and Davies, the White Sox never had a chance. Other than a fluke Thome home run, their offense never had a chance. The weather had nothing to do with it. Once the Royals left town, the Sox's offense has returned to last year's form.

2) Cleveland Indians

Greinke, Davies, and even Ponson shut down their offense. Once they left KC, their bats have exploded in NY.

3) Texas Rangers

Their offense has been incredible at home including a 19 run output their last game.

Tonight against Gil Meche? Zero.

You can add another zero to that board.

What the hell are they thinking? A tied game in the bottom of the 9th, on the road, and they send in Farnsworth with and ERA of 16.5 again? He cost us two games already and now its three. Damn I wanted this sweep.

These are the toughest ones to lose. The games that you have already in the bag, late in the game.
