Chiefs Chiefs Training Camp and Preseason 2019
#1

Sorry, didn’t see a training camp thread yet, so thought I’d start one, because today did effectively end the offseason, right?

Anyone go today?  I heard that Tyreek got a huge cheer from the crowd.  Anyway, keep me up to date on camp, I rely on you all to give me the updates.

I almost went today since it's Season Ticket Holder Day, but had a few things I ended up needing to take care of. I'll probably go sometime next weekend.

Tyreek was available to the media following practice, his first availability since all of this offseason BS started.

A small number of people, particularly in the media, are upset that when Brooke Pryor asked him a question he asked her name, gave about 0.3 seconds worth of a smirk, then moved on and answered her question normally. Apparently that's "bullying & reporter intimidation". After all Tyreek has been through this offseason in large part due to her animus, bias, and incompetence the fact that he's even answering her questions is impressive to me. She was literally saying earlier this offseason that since she didn't feel comfortable around Hill in professional settings previously that was some kind of evidence of her story. That's not journalism.

No surprise the Twitter thread is full of more than just slant eye from a number of Chiefs fans who have not been appreciative of Brooke's "journalisming" the past few months.

That was kinda funny to me but yeah, I mean, I could also see why there are gonna be reporters backing their own here. And also, how was that 'on national tv'? Was it being broadcast live on nfl network or something?

Yeah.  So a reporter smears someone's character for MONTHS with innuendo, dishonesty, and partial truths on a major media platform in order to ruin his life and career and it's 'harassment' when he side-eyes her.  She shouldn't be allowed in the damn room in my opinion.

Yeah.  I think we all know who the real victim of harassment and bullying actually is.

I mean, unless you just make up entirely new definitions for all of those words.  Then she can be the victim of harassment and bullying.

It wasn't journalism.  It was activism.  Sadly a lot of 'journalists' don't know the difference anymore.

Yeeah, they can stick up for a reporter without calling out Tyreek's behavior as bullying. They could call her brave (she's not) or above the fray (she's not) for returning to business as normal, but trying to put this back on Tyreek is pitiful and transparent.

I don't think this was anything but local either, but wouldn't be surprised if it got some play somewhere.

CB Keith Reaser more than likely tore his ACL. This sucks, but he was probably at best our number 4 corner on the depth chart.

This has led to more speculation from fans about trading for "Jackrabbit" Janois Jenkins from the Giants. More interesting to me is again Tyrann Mathieu is mentioning Patrick Peterson on his Twitter. This is likely just him talking up his friend for being on the NFL's top 100 list (my guess, unless I'm missing other context), but still, that doesn't stop fans from speculating.

Peterson is still staring down the barrel of a six-game suspension, isn't he?

Just want to get out of TC without any major injuries. The news from around the league of all the injuries is scaring the bejesus out of me.
