The league doesn't give suspensions for quitting on your team.  You have to rely on the coach for that.
Too little too late IMO.

They could have given him a suspension for throwing the flag into the stands.

That was my thought as well.

There's no precedent for the league or Reid suspending someone for that. 

Reid HAS a precedent for a couple things.  1.  Have headcase players and 2.  Suspending head case players  too little too late.
