Latest reports suggest he might not be gone just yet.

I saw that.

Still seems unlikely he's going to recover.  Sad

I know I'm going to hell for this (hey, that's a surprise) but I can't help but think of this:

Loved me some Tom Petty. One of first albums I had was "Damn the Torpedos". Sad day indeed.

I have a contact that is a relative of Tom Petty's, and he says that Petty is still alive but the DNR is signed and there's little hope for recovery.

I feel like this is the same thing that happened with Carrie Fisher's heart attack.  "Full cardiac arrest" and "unresponsive" doesn't usually lead to any meaningful recovery.  The brain just can't be without oxygen that long.

I saw Tom Petty twice at Jazzfest, including this past May.  He was amazing.  He'd also obviously been partying pretty hard all day.  A rock star to the end, I guess.

If you were putting money on which Traveling Wilbury would live the longest, I doubt there'd be much on Bob Dylan, right?

He died twice today because he's a fucking rockstar.
