NFL Browns cut Joe Haden
#1
The Browns cut Joe Haden. The two teams with the most rumored interest are the Chiefs and the Saints.

This would be immense. Haden hasn't lived up to his big contract, but it was just a couple years ago I'd have argued he was the best CB in the NFL. If he could be our starter opposite of Peters, the actual best CB in the NFL, it'd be immense, especially if Haden is relatively cheap.

His agent thinks he'll be signed somewhere "by tomorrow afternoon", so I doubt this could turn into a SIGN TY LAW thread.

He used to lock down AJ Green twice a year like it was his job (Ron Howard voice: it was).  Super frustrating as a long-time AJ Green fantasy owner.  He'd be a great get, I think.

This would be great if it happened; however, our cap space will limit how attractive we are.  Other teams can offer him more money or a longer contract. We can offer him a decent one year contract.

I guess we will see this afternoon!

$9M a year for a guy that just got cut is pretty damn steep. I was thinking he could be had on a prove it deal. Guess I was mistaken.
