Please, step up and try an get involved. Obama needs to get back on point with this. He is falling from what he originally said during his campaign, about a single payer system, and now here we are talking about sending a boat load of cash to Medicare. As president Obama says he wants to build "around the system we have"??? That same system that is DOMINATED by insurance companies. Mr. President, the Insurance companies have stiffed us time and time again, Don't give into them!! Yes, we know they are powerful, yes they have lots of money, and lots of political clout, BUT DONT SELL US SHORT,!!!!!!!!

Its time to get the Insurance Companies, AND their costly red tape OUT OF OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. Lives depend on it! Please, Support a NATIONAL, SINGLE PAYER Healthcare solution. MEDICARE FOR ALL, Everybody IN, NOBODY OUT!

It's odd I never hear you say anything about the thousands of people who would lose their jobs with insurance companies. Not to mention...do you really want a government body deciding whether you get the medicine you need? Good God man, talk about red tape.

You know what, these same workers would have the option to work for the government, and I'm sure that a common ground can be found to eliminate the true problem, Health Insurance companies. I cant believe your defending them, but ok.

If you think that there isnt a board of executives that dont already decide if you are going to get the surgery you need with your current HMO or PPO or the long term care that you need, you've got another thing coming. A single payer system is designed, SO THAT YOU DONT have to worry about getting the care that you need. So that you dont have to worry about a doctor, or board getting in the way of the care YOU need. Keep your policy right now bro. Nobody is telling you you cant. I'm just saying, AS A TAXPAYER, I should have the RIGHT to decide who my carrier is, and the government should offer a very comparable option.

What is your answer to the cost of the single payer system vs the policies that cost anywhere from 5-7 thousand dollars A YEAR that you chose to keep? Obama's original plan ( which I admit, he is falling from ) was to offer a plan through medicare that would be A THIRD of that cost. I get to choose if I want to pay more taxes see? But still this is just such a lingering issue with the right?

Listen to the Nurses in california. Listen to the Republicans in the house are FOR national healthcare reform. The Healthcare industry DOES NOT want people to know about this. They dont want us to get educated on the manner. I refuse to stand by, and let them keep killing more and more people by the second with denial claims, high deductables, exrememly expensice copays, and office visit fees, etc. I wont do it.

I expect Obama to do what he said he was going to do, I expect a NATIONAL provider. I have written him, my missouri senator, and congressman a letter on the maatter, and I will keep sending them as I have been for the last year or so. I believe THIS can help this country my friend. I'm tired of watching the rich get richer while I work in hundred degree heat.

This is a treadmill conversation.

If one payer is so great, then why is England and other parts of Europe starting to move away from it?

Oh, and btw...when I set up my insurance every year, I have TEN choices that i have to choose from based on my needs. Different companies and different rates. And my employer pays for most of it.

And your employer would pay you a much more handsome salary if they didn't HAVE to provide your care.

1. They don't HAVE to. They choose to.
2. I get paid the average wage for my position.
3. Grass is always greener isn't it.
