WR Byron Pringle to sign with the Bears

I figured we could have brought him back cheap. I think this does put a little more pressure on the Chiefs to get an upgrade at WR2. I'm fine with throwing numbers at the WR position, but if you don't have experience in the system you probably should be bringing in a vet.

Oh, I've deliberately not mentioned this yet, but Tom Brady came out of retirement. Probably was grossed out spending too much time with his supermodel wife and wanted to get back with the boys.

EDIT: Apparently Zadarius Smith backed out on his 4 year, $35M deal with the Ravens, which makes him a free agent... again.

Also, I just realized I hadn't mentioned the Raiders traded for Davante Adams. Remember when we had to listen to a whole offseason of Raiders fans telling us we were screwed because they just signed the best WR in the world? Welcome back to those days. They traded a 1st and 2nd for him.

The Raiders have made some strong moves this offseason.  The have addressed their secondary and added absolute beasts in Jones and Adams.  I hope they don't upgrade the QB as that is what has kept them down as well!!!

Deshaun Watson traded to the Browns for three 1st rounders and a couple more picks.

The AFC West isn't the only loaded division. Look at the AFC North now.

WR Demarcus Robinson to the Raiders on a 1 year deal.

DT Jarran Reed to the Packers.

Neither one of these seem like a great loss.  I feel we can add DT in the draft that can perform at the level Reed did. Do we get an increase in forward yardage now that D Rob is gone... kidding ... sort of

Tyrann Mathieu still hasn't signed anywhere. He visited the Saints and I just kind of assumed he would sign there, but instead he had a virtual meeting with the Eagles.

CB Stephon Gilmore to the Colts

https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2022/04/...lis-colts/

It's a 2 year, $23M deal with $14M guaranteed.

It was reported the Chiefs had interest, but I'm sure that's more than the Chiefs were willing to spend considering his age and injury history.

It was a long shot anyway.  Hopefully we will find some gems in the draft!

Sounds like Tyrann to the Saints is happening after all:

The worst part is this means the Chiefs won't get a comp pick because of how long he waited to sign.

I want to believe this is incidental because he wanted to wait until after the draft to see where he'd have the best opportunity, but as bitter as he was about not getting an offer from the Chiefs, it might be intentional.
