NFL 2020 Other Teams Offseason
#1

Well, the first major shoe to drop in the AFC West is the Chargers announcing Philip Rivers shall not return to the team in 2020.

I think we all knew this was coming since he moved his family to Florida to be closer to the rest of his family... in Alabama. So, it's pretty clear he plans on playing for a Florida based team, I'm guessing Tampa Bay.

This also paves the way for the Chargers to go grab Brady or 30 for 30 Jameis.

Just doing a quick look through the internet before going to bed when I see Larry Fitzergerald's dad, a legit sports journalist if you didn't already know, is reporting the Raiders are tired of losing to us twice a year in Oakland and so now they are offering Tom Brady $60M to lose to us twice a year, but in Las Vegas now.

I wasn't ready for this. I'm glad I was sitting down when I heard this.

I was hoping Denver and John Elway would be the ones to pull this move, but this is almost as good.

Browns cut demetrius harris. Wouldn't really be an upgrade but after disappointing in Cleveland might take a cheap enough deal to come back as a #2.

Only reason he's being cut is because Dorsey overpaid him. Classic.

I'd say we shouldn't go seeking trash off of the Browns, but he'd clearly be better than the little over 100 yards we got out of Yelder and Bell combined. I think we'd be better served spending a draft pick on a young TE though.

I agree. I don't know why so many Chiefs fans glom onto ex-Chiefs hitting the market.  We're not desperate any more, people. We don't need Dropmetrius Harris back. I'd rather take our chances in the draft or some other FA to compete with Bell and Yelder.

Well here's my thinking on harris.
One, bell is a free agent who might attract more attention than Harris who's gone through 2 teams in 2 years.
Two, Harris was uber special teams guy.
Three, he might like to come back and play with his buddies again at a discount 1 year deal to rehab his value.
Four, we only have so many draft picks and there are plenty of needs so I dont see us spending higher than a 5th on a te and we don't have anything lower than a 5th this year. Between OL, LB, CB, WR I think we have bigger draft needs than a 2nd te who likely isnt going to see more than a handful of offensive snaps a game.
