Chiefs re-sign Anthony Sherman on a 1 year deal

I think the addition of Pennel was huge in improving our run defense midseason last year. He said he wanted to be back and I for one am glad to see him back. Also, Sherman is great to keep, though we may start training a replacement this year as a 3rd TE / special teamer.

I feel like every year, theres talk about replacing sherman with a te hybrid but then we barely have a 2nd te worth putting on the field at the te position.

I really want to disagree with you on this.... but, I can't.  We can't seem to find quality depth in TE.

Pure blind luck... it's been protecting children from fire for centuries!

Ragland is going to the lions. We better end up with a fa lb and a drafted lb.

Ragland only played 21% of the defensive snaps. We needed to replace him anyway as he's not a scheme fit, so yeah we probably need a couple new potential starters / key role players.

We used the vet cap exception on robinson. So 1.25 mil of his salary wont count against the cap. That's the max amount allowed to keep off the cap. So it's a good deal for us, but it must mean Robinson found a very poor market.

It has been an exceptionally depressed market for receivers this year because of the number of quality prospects coming into the draft.  Hopefully Sammy Watkins has been paying attention and is ready for his pay cut.
