On Sammy's first TD he gets juked out of his shoes.  On Sammy's second TD he vacated his deep zone responsibility and blew his coverage(which is why Sammy was WIDE open) and on the third Watkins TD Sammy threw him off like a child in press coverage.  Just tossed him.

Ramsey was a huge reason KC was so successful on offense.

So I'm guessing you're not interested in trading for Ramsey, then (he's asked for a trade).

You guess correctly.   Hate his personality and I think he's over-rated as a player.  He'll end up getting paid way more than I think he's worth.

One great thing about KC that makes it work so well is we're lacking in selfish me-first players.

Yeah, but we seem to be heavy on questionable character guys (Hill's situation, Hunt, trading for Frank Clark) so it's kind of a wash, right?

Anyway, I think I probably think Ramsey has marginally more talent that you do, but I agree he's an asshole and wouldn't mesh with the current locker room.

It's not just that.  All of that was off-the-field stuff.   IT's the 'I'm bigger than the team' attitude.  A good example: He won't play zone.  Against KC he was abandoning zone assignments to play man (long TD to sammy watkins) and has been throwing a tantrum about being asked to play zone this year.  It's a big reason he's asking for a trade.

KC runs a zone scheme now.

This article lists the Chiefs among the possible landing spots for Ramsey, but seems to be based on speculation.  What's more interesting is the suggestion that we were bidding on Minkah Fitzpatrick.  I hand't realized that the Dolphins just signed Xavier Howard to a new deal when I was floating his name (I thought he was still playing out his rookie deal), but I wonder if we inquired about him during the supposed Fitzpatrick conversations.

EDIT: Here's the link--I'm an idiot.

Supposedly, Miami is saying they're not interested in trading Howard.

Bummer.  Why stand on principle now, Miami?

I wouldn't mind him. But I wouldn't like his price tag. All he wants to do is play man, which is kinda opposite of what we had in Peters. And we flushed him for a 2nd or something.

Peters played man and zone, but he's an 'off' corner rather than a press corner.  Even though when he was here people said KC was 'misusing him' by not pressing him.

People used to melt down with how far Peters would line up from the WR, but lots of great CB's played like that.  That's how Rod Woodson played.

The problem with Peters was after his rookie season he decided that tackling wasn't really something he wanted to do.
