He's just a classic big-government statist who's contributed to Democrats most of his life.

If the R's nominate him, the Republican party should just quit.

On a brighter note, my chosen candidate - the guy I voted for with enthusiasm - is back in the race.

Gary Johnson for President!

If I don't like the GOP nominee, you bet your ass I'm looking at Gary Johnson.

No lie - I picked out GJ in the Republican field early on in the 2012 race (when we was running as an R).

If he'd made it through to the TX primary, I was going to vote in that primary to vote for him. If he'd been nominated, he would have been the first R I'd ever voted for President.  That's how much I personally like the guy - it wasn't a party label thing for the first time ever, it was actually liking and supporting an individual candidate that I believed could actually govern.

I literally do want this guy to be President.  I think he'd do a fantastic job.

I thought about it a little more and realized I might have forgot the most damning piece of evidence when it comes to Trump for me. It's not just that I personally dislike him (I do), or that I disagree with a lot of his policy stances and if you let him talk long enough he will too, it's that he absolutely is establishment.

Oh, he says he's anti-establishment, but look at who he's given money to in the past. Yeah, some were Republicans and some were Democrats, but look deeper. Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Charlie Rangel, Ed Rendell, Ted Kennedy, Rahm Emmanuel, Harry Reid, Tom Delay, John McCain, Mitch McConnel, and so on.  Every damn one was an establishment candidate. He's given money and held fundraisers time and again for establishment candidates and establishment super PACs on both sides of the aisle.

He may say he's sick and tired of the establishment, but I don't believe it. Even if he were telling the truth, it's still at least partly his fault. If you're sick of what Washington has done, why would you want this guy to be in charge of cleaning it up?

I wrote this because a friend of mine convinced me there was a place where you could submit articles to the Onion. Turns out he's wrong, but I don't really have anywhere else to post such a thing, so here ya go:

In An Appeal to Evangelical Voters, Trump Proves He Can Hold a Bible Without Bursting Into Flames.

DES MOINES - Visibly grimacing and possibly in extreme pain, GOP presidential candidate and billionaire real estate magnate Donald J. Trump clutched a Bible in a pre-recorded message to Iowa’s Evangelical voters prior to Monday evening’s caucus in an effort to win their support. Noticeably absent in the video; the divine flames of an angry God claiming the body of an abhorrent sinner. Despite his history of owning casinos, strip clubs, and being twice divorced, physical contact with holy scripture failed to ignite or even leave observable scald marks on the Republican who continues to lead in most national polls as the party’s front-runner.

“Wow, there he is holding a Bible. That will force me to reevaluate his candidacy,” one Evangelical voter told us as he headed into his caucus, “Though even if he combusted instantly I’d still consider him versus Hillary in the general election.”

Trump went on to a disappointing 2nd place finish in Iowa, but expects a much better showing in New Hampshire due in part to their open primary system and a voting block consisting of a largely godless people.

I hate all candidates, and resent both parties immensely.  I voted for Gary Johnson last election, and I'll probably do so again... and not happily.

Hillary is the most bought and paid for politician in DC.  If politicians had to put their 'sponsors' on their clothes like they do with race cars, she'd need 7 extra banners to hold all of the people who have bought favors from her.  Even FOX NEWS has donated millions to her campaign.

Bernie is a regressive.  He's weak and cowardly.  He won't address problems, and far to often makes statements that are completely false.  His claims about the military/education budget in the US were pure nonsense, and him meekly allowing two psychotic racist women to take over a speech and spew racial hatred crossed the line.  I do NOT ever want anyone that weak as president.

Trump.  Geezus.  Trump is a fascist.  His ideal america would be private investors controlling the legislation in a form of crony capitalism that is the traditional form of fascism.  Both his past and his rhetoric demonstrate this.  He's nothing but populist rhetoric.

Here's the thing with Trump.  He's nothing but populist rhetoric... as I said.  Yet his narrative is FAR different than the one every other politician is spewing.  The way he's attacked, the dishonesty behind how he's covered, all makes him stronger in the eyes of voters.  By AVOIDING the discussion and reality about Islam on the left and right, they've flushed people to his side as he's the only one saying what we all KNOW.. but many are afraid to admit.  Islam is fucked up folks.  It's not like other religions.  You need to understand that.

Either way I feel western civilization is committing cultural suicide, and I'm glad I'll be dead when the final hammer falls.

Trump scares both parties.  GOOD!  I really think this could change things in future elections whether he wins or not.  Tell ya what.  If he gets in I really dont think he will take shit from anyone.  And just a note.  Trump hasnt hidden the fact that he donated to the dems.  He also donated to the Reps.  As a business man thats what you do.
