Apparently GB is targeting Dorsey to come back to the Pack and succeed Ted Thompson if they can't come to an agreement to promote wolf.

Well, this would explain why Ballard wasn't too ready to bolt, just in case he could take over here.

I want Dorsey to remain in KC.  Clark should dump a large pile of money in his front yard as incentive.

I agree, I feel like he was blocked from interviewing because of the chance that we need him to succeed Dorsey.
