Looking foward to the UCLA game on Sept 4th, in Manhattan. Will be heading to that game.

TrueBlueBruin78, I hear your team is having a rough go at it with the injuries. That's unfortunate. Will you be able to watch the game, (I'd imagine you would, since it'd be on ABC, and not sure if it's national-viewing) or are you actually heading to Manhattan with some of your UCLA buddies?

Either way, here's hoping for a good season by the Cats. :ksu:

Man, what a game. Really sloppy in some areas, but there is some flashes of potentional there as well. Pretty much going to be like last year, a 1 dimensional offense unless K-State can find a QB that is at least average on the passing situations. Interior D is soft, as UCLA was able to tear it up quite well. That'll need to get tighten up. Lack of pass-rush is another concern. Secondary, outside of the 2 play TD by UCLA in the near end of 4th quarter, is very solid.

In all, a win is a win, and I'll take it any way I can.

Rumor's going around that both the Brown Brothers applied for a hardship to wave the one year rule, opening the possibility of both of them to be eligible by the UCF game.

One of the guy that I know, knows a guy in the NCAA Compliance world tells us that Arthur has a much better chance to be eligible than Bryce does as of this point. However, in order for Bryce to be eligible, the situation where every single card will have to fall perfectly.

Pardon my puking profusely while I say this but Daniel Thomas is a legit top 10 NFL draft pick IMO.:puke: Reminds me of Terrell Davis a bit. That said....hope he suffers from a severe case of turf toe and misses the remainder of the season. :teeth:

It's going to be a tough season for him considering that Chase Coffman is the worst QB in the Big 12. Teams will probably start loading 11 players on the LOS the rest of the season.

THAT is not your QB man.

Ugly showing by the defense, despite winning by 20+ points. Gave up way too many yardage to my liking. That has got to be fixed if they're going to go up against Oklahoma St and Texas to name a few.

And the men and women from Ft. Riley put on a hell of a artillery show during halftime.

Eh, MSU has a good offense. We will be pretty good at the FCS level, K-State was just to big and fast for us

Wasn't a knock on you guys. You guys played disciplined and solid football. Just wished my boys would have put on a little better effort on defense, that's all. If that was Mizzou, the way we played, Gabbert would have probably close to 400+ yards passing.

3-0, as the pesky Cyclones gave us a good fight.

Also, K-State got lucky on some areas as well.

Farmageddon 2.0 was yet another good game. Great job running the ball on both sides. Congrats to K-State, they look like a legitimate contender for the North Title, another reason I'm not just ready to crown Nebraska the champion yet.

I don't know about that just yet. I'd be satisifed with 6 wins and bowl eligible, since this team has alot of major issues. Defense seems soft, bend but don't break. Can't get consistent pass-rush (where have I heard this before?) QB play is probably one of the worst in the nation. He damn near cost us the game with that INT.

Just thankful that they have Thomas. If he gets hurt, we're pretty much f**ked. Nebraska dominated Washington, but the question begs, exactly how good IS Washington supposed to be this year?

Yeah, I suppose I wasn't thinking much about Carson Coffman when I said that. The passing game has been anemic.

I think Washington was highly overrated with everyone all over Jake Locker's jock. However, one quick look at their record since he's been there and you see it's all a sham. The team is 10-30 with him (including his 1-2 this year), and just 5-7 last year. That's not even bowl eligible. How that was supposed to translate into a top 25 program, I have no idea. They're a middle of the pack PAC-10 team, if not even on the lower end.

Washington just has a talented pro-style QB that's mobile, who honestly is overrated himself, at least in the college game.

Lucky win is all I can say about this game.

Got statistically dominated, lost the turnover battle, yet somehow, won the football game.

4-0.

I don't know if it was lucky but it definitely was not pretty.

UCF dared Coffman to beat him and he did.

Yeah, but you have to wonder how that strategy will play out moving forward. Obviously other Big XII teams will watch the tape and realize they can hamper the run game by stacking the box. Will KSU find other ways to get the ball to Daniel Thomas, or will they have to rely on Carson Coffman? If they can continue their gameplan of running the ball effectively, then K-State is in the top half of the league.

However, I think it goes without saying if Coffman completes 50% of his passes with 1 TD and 1 INT, while the team averages 2.6 ypc, they won't beat many teams anywhere, and they're lucky they won this one. But hey, 4-0 is 4-0.
