Six months after knee surgery interrupted his pre-draft plans, Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander has finally landed in the NFL.
The Rams announced they signed the local product on Sunday, just before Alexander was expected to visit with the Seahawks.
It's hard to imagine the productive college player could make the team out of camp, but he could be a candidate for the practice squad if he performs well in the next few weeks.

True...but if they put him on the PS, wouldn't another team be able to swoop in and pick hmi up?

I believe they would have to put him on their 53 man roster, if I am not mistaken.
Honestly, the Chiefs really blew it on this one. They could have signed him to a 3 year contract deal, backloaded with the incentitves, and put him on IR for this season, while he rehabs the knee, while getting himself fimilarized with the playbook and have a year in the NFL training under his belt.

So...do they release Horne then and try and swoop in and grab this guy off waivers?

I don't think Alexander will be on the waviers if the Rams are smart, and that is to either put him on the PUP or IR.
And the person who needs to be released is either Urban or Long. Neither of those two have shown me anything. And while Copper is still the suck, he does, to a point, have some special team value, which apparently, the Chiefs love the most.

Well. Long is gone now.
I'd have loved to have seen Alexander in Red and Gold, but I'm not going to go so far as to say they "blew it". The dude is anything but a guarantee, and that's a shame. He has a far longer injury history than he does a successful track record.
I mean, the dude beat out Maclin for a starting spot before he got hurt earlier in his career. If he didn't get hurt, Maclin probably would have been the breakout player last year.
