The special teams has been our largest area of improvement beyond the conditioning. Not just the blocked punt, our coverage seemed greatly improved from last year. The kicking game is obvious, Colquitt is one of the best punters in the game even with that muff he had and Succop is a breath of fresh air kicking the ball out of the endzone and showing the ability to make kicks beyond 50 yards.
If you add together our lack of an offensive line and the Baltimore defense, you have to be impressed with Brodie. As you said nK, he was cool all day despite the constant pressure. I also share your feelings on Legget, he should be starting in front of Carr. Not saying he is a starting corner in the league but he passed the test that Baltimore gave him and he is better than Carr.
Albert had a bad game. But is was against a very good defense, he shouldnt have many games like this.

Leggett better not start. He's Dexter McCleon Jr. The Ravens didn't pick on him because he's good.
Leggett makes Brandon Carr look like a legit starter.
As for what I agree with: Croyle looked very good. Let's hope Cassel plays well, because Croyle badly outplayed him all pre-season and training camp. If not for Cassel's paycheck Croyle would be the starter going into the season.

Where was this pressure you speak of? I saw a QB stand in the pocket all day for as long as it took to find an open guy (which usually wasn't very long). Our rush was a complete joke. That being said, it's just one game, and we were playing against a very good team on the road. Plus I do agree with you that our offense totally didn't help our D out. Leggett was targeted numerous times, and Flowers won't get picked on like that. I was kind of hoping to see our rookie, Washington. As bad as Leggett was getting beat, you would have thought he might have gotten a shot. I hope you're right about the defense getting better as the season moves forward. Because it was no different than last year. When the game was on the line and the other team had the ball, you just knew deep down they were going to score, and we were going to lose.

Flaco was on the run more than a few times...you never saw that last season. I didn't say they were amazing, just better than last year.

No, you are right. There was virtually no pressure on Flacco. It was embarrassing to watch on that one play where he had all day to throw the ball. He'd just move and look, move and look and no one would even come close to pressure. I guess I didn't see the constant pressure that kcnick was talking about.
To make matters worse, when I watched the Raiders game Monday night, my heart just sunk. They were doing what I was hoping we would be doing this year. Flying to the ball, blanket coverage, pressure up the middle (man I wish we would have gotten Seymore, did Pioli wiff on that or what), and team tackling. Let's hope we can attribute that to opening day adrenaline, because if not, we are in for a long ass day on Sunday.

Leggett gave up some plays in the first half but he had a much better second half, better than Brandon Carr that is.
Croyle looks good until he gets injured again...and again..

Homer: [reading] "Project Arcturus couldn't have succeeded without you. This will get you a little closer to that dream of yours. It's not the Dallas Cowboys, but it's a start. Drop me a line if you're on the East Coast, Hank Scorpio." Aw, the Denver Broncos!
Marge: I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good.
Homer: Yeah, yeah.
Marge: Well, explain to me why it isn't.
Homer: [sighs] You just don't understand football, Marge.

I can't find conclusive evidence either way on the interwebs, by the way, but people are fascinated by these things. Consensus seems to be they're fake.
These are the two I want to believe are true, though:
